‘Ignore It’ – DSS Warns Against Viral Recruitment Exercise
The DSS has warned the public to disregard a fake recruitment announcement circulating online, particularly one suggesting the agency is hiring electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople. The DSS clarified via its official 𝕏 account that it is not recruiting and advised citizens to ignore such false claims. Separately, the DSS successfully apprehended three wanted kidnappers at the Abuja Hajj camp during pilgrim screening. The suspects were wanted for alleged involvement in banditry and kidnapping. This follows the recent arrest of Sani Galadi, a suspected kidnapping mastermind, at the Sokoto airport while he was also preparing to board a flight for the Hajj pilgrimage. Both arrests occurred during routine screening processes. Galadi is currently under investigation and will face charges.
